MyStory (layouts, All About Me)

You have a story to tell, and no one can tell it better than you can. Back by popular demand after several years' hiatus, this series of classes will help you build a scrapbook that tells the story of your life. Come join us each month to document the things that make you special.
 
This month's topic: Mixed Media - the books, newspapers, magazines, movies and TV you can't live without!

**Bring to class your trimmer, scissors, paper adhesive, mini glue dots, pop dots, brown and black journaling pens, a ruler, a sanding block and your favorite brown and black ink pads.

Anything goes in this layout class! This month, Lisa Fitzell will be using My Mind's Eye's So Sophie line of coordinating papers and die cuts to make a 2-page layout and a 1-page layout.

Keep It Simple, Scrapper (layouts)
Fri., Sept. 10, 7-9 p.m., $20

KISS - otherwise known as Keep It Simple Scrapper - is our longest running layout class. Join Sarah Larson to make a mix of 1-page and 2-page layouts each month, while playing with cool new products and learning new techniques.

Copic Markers: What, How & Wow!
Sun. Sept. 12, 1 - 3 p.m., $20

Copic Markers are the hottest coloring tool around these days. If you've been wondering what the buzz is all about, this class is for you! In this workshop, you'll learn what makes these markers special, how to test compatability with your favorite papers and stamping inks, how to decipher their numbering system, and how to choose good blending families. Class will be a combination of lecture and hands-on experimenting with the markers.

**Please bring your basic tools and adhesives to class. All Copic supplies will be provided in class; if you wish to bring your own markers, ensure they are clearly labeled with your name.

Beach-Themed Photo Tray
Sat. Sept. 18, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., $30

Cricut Workshop - Country Life
Sat. Sept. 18, 2 - 4 p.m., $20

This month, we'll explore the new Country Life cartridge for the Cricut machine. You'll learn how to use the banner feature to spell out titles in cute, trendy banners, and use the layers feature to create adorable die cuts. Plus, we'll play with the titles and shadowing features, as well as the font.

Hero Arts Card Workshop
Sun., Sept. 19, 1-3 p.m., $20

This month's card workshop features three new sets from Hero Arts. You'll use distress inks and practice heat embossing and making your own glimmery spray mist using Ranger's Perfect Pearls.

Die Cuts with Flair (technique, cardmaking)
Sunday, Sept. 26, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., $20

Learn how to cut and emboss shapes using Spellbinders Nestabilities dies and Cuttlebug folders, then transform your die cuts into stunning accents for cards, scrapbook pages and more. Mary Snyder will show you how. $20

Cricut Cartridge Workshop - From My Kitchen (die-cutting, mini book)

Create an adorable mini book, "The Heart of The Home", using the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge.

**Bring to class Cricut machine, tools, at least 2 mats and the From My Kitchen cartridge, as well as your basic tool kit - paper adhesive, trimmer, scissors, etc.

Slice It Up! Basics (technique)

Calling all owners of the Making Memories Slice machine - let's get those machines out and get creating! You'll learn the basics of using your new die cutting machine, plus a few cool tips and tricks. $20

 Cricut 101 (die-cutting, technique)
Sat. March 20, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

If you've invested in a Cricut cutting machine but don't feel like you're using it to its full advantage, this workshop is for you. Come learn how to properly load the machine, care for and extend the life of your cutting mats, and use all those dials and creative settings.

**You must bring your machine, 2 mats, the George cartridge, and basic tools to class. $20
Distress Ink Techniques I
Sat. June 26, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

You'll be an inking pro in no time with these fun techniques using Tim Holtz's Distress Inks and his new colors! Class will cover the basics of blending, plus faux tie dye, wrinkle distress, dry embossing and heat embossing. You will create four cards and, as a bonus, four tags with instructions on the back for reference to remind yourself how to do each technique. Not a card maker? The projects are also good journaling or title blocks for scrapbook pages. $20
